How to Solve Touchpad Not Working after Upgrade to Windows 10 ?

This issue of Touchpad Stopped Working  includes touchpad doesn’t work: can’t drag mouse pointer , point or right-click not working.

Method 1 : Enable Touchpad on Windows 10 using Hot keys.

May the main cause of this problem that is your laptop’s Touchpad not Enabled so you should enable it by Press on FN Button with one of your Functions Keys ( such as F6 ) which can be different from Device to Device.

Note : make sure you your hot keys enabled from your BIOS.

Method 2 : Revive a Disabled Touchpad.

  1. Open Settings and go to Devices then Mouse & touchpad.
  2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click Additional mouse options.
  3. Mouse Properties Windows will appears.
  4. Click on the tab that lists your laptop’s touchpad —  such as Toshiba Touchpad and sometimes labeled with ELAN or Device Settings,.
  5. Then Click on Device Settings tab.
  6. Click Enable to enable your touchpad.

Method 3 : Update your Touchpad Driver to latest one.

Go to your laptop’s manufacture website and download latest Touchpad Driver for Windows 10 which can help you to make your Touchpad works again.

Also you can use any update Driver software or Default windows update driver option by following these steps :

  1. Go to Start and Search for Device Manager and open it.
  2. Go to Mice and other pointing devices.
  3. Then Right click on your Touchpad and click on Update Driver Software.

After using these three methods i think you will be able to fix  touchpad not working after upgrade to Windows 10.

If the Previous Solutions note work may try Downgrade to Windows 7 maybe your laptop not support windows 10 or you are have a hardware problem.
